This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Enhance the hotel's Room and Catering revenue by collaborating closely with the General Manager, Director of Sales, and Front Office Manager to execute strategies.
• Supervise all distribution channels to guarantee effective selling through inventory management, market mix, and pricing.
• Relay demand patterns to the revenue team and aid in forecasting.
• Assist in formulating strategies that lead to an increased market share.
• Update and oversee selling strategies and product information across all available distribution channels and reservation sources (onsite, third-party reservation providers, call centers, websites, GDS, etc.).
• Maximize RevPAR by analyzing and predicting demand while establishing effective selling strategies, oversell tactics, and optimal market mix.
• Collaborate with the hotel General Manager, Director of Sales, and hotel team to devise strategies aimed at boosting revenue for both Rooms and Catering.
• Work alongside the Regional Director of Revenue Management to implement Revenue Management programs and new initiatives at the hotel.
• Conduct ongoing competitor pricing and product analyses to ensure appropriate rate positioning and product offerings relative to competitors.
• Actively engage in all pricing decisions for transient, group, and wholesale segments.
• Facilitate Weekly Sales and Revenue Strategy meetings.
• Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve issues, maintain open communication, and suggest discipline and/or termination when necessary.
• Lead Daily and Weekly Sales and Revenue Strategy meetings.
• Actively contribute to budgeting and business planning for the Food and Beverage department, including Catering, as well as any other revenue-generating department.
• Support the financial success of the hotel through participation in the annual budgeting and sales and marketing plan processes.
• Generate and disseminate daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports, presenting results from all segments, including internet channels.
• Maintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels across all market segments.
• Continuously monitor all relevant travel-related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and pricing.
• Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work regularly.
• Execute any other job-related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of revenue management experience is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of tools such as spreadsheets and statistical methods for data analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Capacity to identify relevant data and utilize it to make inferences regarding the impact on hotel revenues.
• Familiarity with hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business plan preparation, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-term planning.
• Proficiency in using PMS, reservation, and revenue management systems to forecast and implement optimal strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication styles to suit different audiences, effectively engaging with supervisors, coworkers, the public, etc.
