This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the creation and execution of NDWAs research agenda and strategy that aligns with NDWAs strategic plan, objectives, and theory of change.
• Oversee the administration of regular online surveys targeting domestic workers.
• Direct and design research initiatives as Principal Investigator, concentrating on policy impact evaluation and primary research regarding domestic worker conditions.
• Utilize advanced quantitative and qualitative methods for analyzing extensive datasets.
• Generate rigorous and engaging research outputs.
• Lead the establishment and implementation of research standards and methodological best practices within the team.
• Design and execute worker-centered research strategies.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on tactics and methods to comprehend the characteristics and circumstances of domestic workers.
• Establish and maintain research collaborations with academic institutions, policy research organizations, and other external partners.
• Supervise a team of researchers.
• Manage the team’s budget, organizational structure, processes, and resource allocation.
• Drive the creation of research grant proposals and oversee research project budgets.
• PhD in economics, sociology, public policy, or a related social science discipline is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience conducting policy-relevant research utilizing mixed methods approaches.
• Demonstrated proficiency in quasi-experimental methods and analysis of large datasets.
• Proven history of leading complex research projects as Principal Investigator.
• Experience in developing and implementing research standards and protocols in community-based environments.
• Strong quantitative skills with expertise in statistical software (e.g., Stata, R).
• Experience in managing and mentoring junior researchers.
• Comprehensive understanding of domestic worker issues and a commitment to worker-centered research methodologies.
• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
