This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Formulate a growth-driven approach for CPB Canada's educational and professional development initiatives.
• Oversee and curate a variety of programming, encompassing conferences, workshops, webinars, and educational sessions.
• Guide staff in the logistical planning and execution of programs, ensuring an exceptional experience for all participants.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, trainers, and other collaborators to enhance programming support.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and outcomes to facilitate ongoing improvements in programming decisions.
• Plan and implement CPB Canada's educational and professional development activities.
• Take on project and financial responsibilities for the annual conference.
• Supervise the planning and development of National Bookkeeping Week each year.
• Create strategies and supporting justifications for comprehensive event planning and execution.
• Assess and analyze event effectiveness to promote continuous enhancement.
• Provide leadership in the marketing and communications strategy, optimizing staff resources for maximum return on investment.
• Safeguard and enhance the brand identity and reputation of the association.
• Manage the departmental budget, ensuring alignment with work plans and corresponding reporting.
• A post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, event management, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive professional experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role or capacity.
• Technologically proficient, with experience in selecting and managing Learning Management Systems, event software, and related tools such as webinar platforms, registration systems, CRM platforms (Salesforce), and project management tools.
• Proficient in negotiating event contracts, including A/V, conference planners, and other service providers.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and presentation skills, with a knack for building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Capable of conducting research, analyzing findings, and translating insights into strategic initiatives.
• Detail-oriented and adept at driving projects to completion within multiple deadlines.
• Possess diplomacy and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
• Collaborative and willing to contribute as needed.
• Adaptable and resourceful, exhibiting integrity, credibility, and commitment to CPB Canada's mission.
