Director of Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the health of order transmission to suppliers and oversees supplier performance, ensuring accountability for timely processing and shipping.

• Manages relationships with carriers and monitors in-transit performance, taking ownership of the entire shipping claims process.

• Oversees the returns-to-supplier process (RMA retrieval and tracking), collaborating with the Sr. Ops Program Manager and Returns Center Manager for the physical handoff.

• Directs the People & Ops Managers and the Program & Analytics Manager, establishing priorities and holding the team accountable for performance and coaching across both Ops pods.

• Leads special projects and cross-functional strategic initiatives alongside the COO and other leadership, applying the same rigor to unique strategic tasks as to core fulfillment operations.

• Identifies structural and process inefficiencies within the fulfillment organization, creating and executing targeted improvement initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.

• Directs process optimization and automation projects, collaborating with technical teams to leverage AI and systems-based solutions that minimize manual tasks and cycle times.

• Proactively identifies potential points of failure throughout the order lifecycle and establishes safeguards prior to issues arising, shifting the team's focus from reactive firefighting to proactive risk management.

• Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of operations management experience, including more than 3 years of experience leading managers or multi-team functions.

• Proven experience managing supplier, logistics/carrier, or fulfillment relationships at scale.

• Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adaptable to change (start-up experience preferred).

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for anticipating issues before they arise.

• Analytical mindset focused on data-driven decision-making.

• Business acumen with the capability to relate financial and operational data to decision-making processes.

• Self-motivated with the initiative to implement solutions independently.

• Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration across teams.

• Proficient in Google Suite products and data processing/reporting tools.

• Bachelor's degree is required.
