Director of Operational Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Standardize workflows and operational procedures across the airport network branches.

• Establish and unify operational KPIs such as labor productivity, daily revenue, upsell conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.

• Enhance labor productivity and optimize scheduling at the branch level.

• Promote fleet turnaround and vehicle-readiness discipline to safeguard revenue days.

• Streamline daily operations and recover costs tied up in operational inefficiencies.

• Implement Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices at the location level while mentoring teams to maintain them.

• Develop consistent counter sales and upsell practices.

• Coach and empower General Managers and Regional Directors to ensure sustained improvements.

• Collaborate with the Managing Director and senior leadership on key transformation initiatives.

• Provide reports on progress regarding measurable objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or a similar field.

• A minimum of eight years of operational leadership experience, including expertise in multi-site continuous improvement or operational excellence.

• Proven history of standardizing operations and enhancing measurable performance across various locations.

• Experience in developing and coaching frontline or counter sales performance programs.

• Preferred experience in car rental or fleet-based field operations.

• Essential hands-on experience in continuous improvement.

• Lean or Six Sigma certification is a valuable addition.

• Proficient understanding of operational metrics such as productivity, daily revenue, upsell conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.

• Strong skills in coaching and change management.

• Ability to standardize processes across different locations.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced turnaround environment with a strong sense of urgency.

• Willingness to travel up to 50 percent across various markets.
