Director of IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily functions of the IT department, including infrastructure, support services, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and software development.

• Assist the VP of IT in implementing departmental priorities, operational initiatives, and goals related to enterprise technology.

• Supervise team performance, prioritize workloads, manage service delivery expectations, and ensure operational accountability across IT functions.

• Guarantee high availability, reliability, and performance of enterprise technology platforms and support services.

• Recognize operational risks, service deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement while facilitating prompt resolution.

• Foster strong cross-functional relationships with business leaders to ensure that IT services effectively bolster business operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• More than 10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles overseeing enterprise technology operations.

• Extensive technical expertise in infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and IT service management.

• Experience with compliance and security frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar standards.

• Demonstrated success in managing change, developing operational processes, enhancing service delivery, and leading cross-functional technology teams.
