This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement the insurance product strategy for Meridio.
• Engage in negotiations with carriers to obtain favorable rates and terms.
• Cultivate robust relationships with carriers, TPAs, and other partners.
• Educate and empower our team to assist clients in making informed strategic choices.
• Provide mentorship to internal teams on best practices in insurance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Client Success, and Product teams to enhance the customer experience and improve client outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ACA, ERISA, and relevant state and federal regulations.
• Develop scalable processes that guarantee compliance while maintaining efficiency.
• Oversee audits, manage regulatory submissions, and handle licensing renewals for Meridio and our licensed guides.
• Play a key role in Meridio’s overall compliance and risk management initiatives as the organization expands.
• 7–10 years of experience in the health insurance or employee benefits sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of group health plans and associated regulations.
• Proven experience in negotiating with carriers and TPAs.
• Demonstrated success in launching and scaling insurance products.
• Strong grasp of ACA, ERISA, and state insurance laws.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication abilities.
• Capability to simplify "insurance-speak" into comprehensible language for all stakeholders.
