Director of Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand Runpod’s primary cloud and bare-metal environments.

• Implement stringent Site Reliability Engineering methodologies.

• Supervise the design, scaling, and management of the global network backbone.

• Guide the architecture and performance optimization of distributed storage systems.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior individual contributors.

• Collaborate with product teams to project capacity needs.

• Foster measurable enhancements in infrastructure reliability.

• Provide architectural guidance for provisioning and network infrastructures.

• Ensure that infrastructure components are resilient and accessible.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience leading software, infrastructure, SRE, or networking teams.

• More than 8 years of experience in building and operating extensive distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of ultra-low latency networking architecture.

• Proven experience in developing high-performance distributed storage systems.

• Solid foundation in reliability engineering and infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Experience in fostering culture within distributed technical teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
