This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic HR advisor to the firm’s leadership; engage in leadership meetings and support compliant employment decisions across a diverse, multi-country workforce.
• Direct, develop, and mentor the Human Resources and Recruiting teams; set clear responsibilities, escalation processes, service standards, and performance expectations.
• Manage and oversee the firm's recruiting operations, including the recruiting team, workforce planning, hiring processes, recruiting performance metrics, employer branding, and talent acquisition strategies to facilitate ongoing growth.
• Establish and track recruiting KPIs such as time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, candidate experience, source effectiveness, and hiring manager satisfaction.
• Collaborate with department leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and executive-level hiring initiatives.
• Provide guidance on escalated employee relations issues, performance concerns, workplace investigations, and sensitive employee situations; coach leaders through corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and separations.
• Propel the firm’s culture strategy by developing programs that enhance connections among in-house and remote teams, and promote engagement, retention, and employee satisfaction.
• Design and continuously refine comprehensive training and development programs across the firm, including onboarding, compliance, leadership development, management training, and professional growth initiatives.
• Oversee benefits programs encompassing health insurance, PTO, leave administration, and employee wellness initiatives.
• Ensure effective management of leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability-related matters, and associated compliance requirements.
• Lead compensation strategies, salary administration, bonus planning, and total rewards initiatives to maintain internal equity, market competitiveness, and alignment with business goals.
• Own the company handbook, HR policies, employee-facing documents, and HR operational procedures; identify risk areas and propose scalable improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with benefit providers, HR vendors, payroll partners, recruiting vendors, and other employee service providers.
• Maintain and enhance HR systems, reporting capabilities, and people analytics to aid leadership in decision-making.
• Establish internal communication standards, including newsletters, bulletins, announcements, and video communication channels.
• Analyze workforce productivity metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, retention, engagement, and hiring trends to identify opportunities and drive data-informed decisions.
• Ensure HR systems, processes, and reporting capabilities scale effectively in tandem with the firm’s ongoing growth.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility across multiple HR functions.
• Experience managing HR for a workforce that includes both in-house and remote team members, ideally across multiple locations or countries.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-state employment compliance, such as wage and hour laws, leave requirements, employee classifications, and employment practices across various jurisdictions.
• Proven track record in leading talent acquisition teams, managing recruiting operations, and executing high-volume hiring across multiple departments.
• Strong background in employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and handling sensitive matters with discretion.
• Proven experience in building or enhancing HR infrastructure, including policies, handbooks, operating models, HR systems, payroll platforms, and organizational structures.
• Established experience in designing and implementing training and development programs at an organizational level.
• Experience overseeing compensation, benefits, total rewards, salary administration, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Strong strategic thinking, initiative, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven capability to drive employee engagement and cultivate a culture of accountability, performance, and belonging.
• Excellent judgment, emotional intelligence, communication skills, and discretion.
• Experience in leading and developing HR team members and managers.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Nice-to-Have: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered. HR experience within a law firm or professional services firm. Experience in fostering culture for hybrid or remote workforces. Familiarity with e-learning content, LMS implementation, or video-based training. Experience scaling HR during rapid company growth. Support for international workforces, including Latin America and/or the Philippines. Experience with BambooHR and Gusto. Fluency in Spanish.
