Director of Grid Policy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee advocacy efforts and negotiations with stakeholders and regulators regarding transmission interconnection, resource adequacy, ELCC, microgrid, and long-duration storage policy matters across various RTOs and states.

• Act as Antora's representative in RTO stakeholder processes, FERC proceedings, and state PUC/legislative interactions (e.g., SPP, CAISO, and other RTOs as Antora expands its reach).

• Collaborate with the energy commercial team to ensure that Antora's storage and 24/7 energy offerings are accurately valued (RA/ELCC), enabling customers to recognize their full worth and incentivizing appropriate payment.

• Create and advance policy proposals in partnership with other clean energy stakeholders, establishing coalitions where interests converge.

• Monitor and respond to pertinent FERC rulemakings/orders (e.g., large-load interconnection 205 orders) and state proceedings (e.g., SB 943 in California).

• Work in conjunction with and provide support to the head of regulatory and state affairs, who will continue to engage in these matters as the portfolio expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of relevant experience in transmission, interconnection, and/or resource adequacy policy.

• Proven track record of leading advocacy in an RTO, ISO, or FERC proceeding.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, tailored for political, regulatory, and policymaker audiences.
