• Oversee daily accounting functions across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and month-end closing, while simultaneously spearheading strategic initiatives in workflow automation, revenue recognition frameworks, subscription metrics analysis, and scalable SaaS financial operations.
• Supervise daily accounting processes related to AP, AR, General Ledger, and month-end closing activities, focusing on subscription revenue, deferred revenue, and ARR metrics.
• Guarantee precise revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 for multi-year SaaS contracts, usage-based billing, and marketplace transaction fees.
• Track and report on critical SaaS financial metrics such as ARR growth, net revenue retention, billings, and deferred revenue changes.
• Uphold robust internal controls and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data throughout the subscription lifecycle management.
• Assist in SaaS-specific financial reporting and provide insights into unit economics, cohort performance, and marketplace health metrics.
• Drive digital transformation efforts that modernize finance operations through cloud-based systems, API integrations, and real-time data connectivity.
• Recognize and eliminate manual processes by introducing intelligent automation for invoice processing, subscription reconciliations, revenue recognition calculations, and anomaly detection.
• Create and implement exception-based workflows that decrease manual touchpoints while enhancing accuracy, speed, and scalability throughout the financial closing process.
• Work collaboratively across departments to integrate financial systems with CRM, billing platforms, payment gateways, and marketplace infrastructure, facilitating seamless data transfer and real-time visibility.
• Assess, pilot, and scale innovative fintech solutions including robotic process automation (RPA), AI copilots, and autonomous accounting platforms.
• Develop standardized, repeatable accounting workflows tailored for a high-velocity SaaS environment with distributed teams and global operations.
• Construct real-time dashboards and operational metrics that offer visibility into closing progress, subscription cohort performance, cash conversion cycles, and process bottlenecks.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting operations, including at least 2 years in a SaaS, subscription-based, or high-growth technology company with ARR business models.
• Comprehensive understanding of SaaS financial metrics (ARR, MRR, net revenue retention, CAC payback, LTV:CAC ratio, Rule of 40) and subscription revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Proven experience leading digital transformation projects in finance—implementing automation platforms, transitioning to cloud-based systems, or establishing API-driven integrations between financial and operational systems.
• Practical experience with contemporary finance technology stacks, including cloud ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online), billing platforms (Stripe, Zuora, Chargebee), and automation tools (Zapier, Workato, UiPath, or similar).
• Experience in implementing or enhancing AI-enabled finance tools such as predictive analytics, intelligent document processing, automated reconciliations, or machine learning-based categorization.
• Strong technical proficiency with data analysis tools (advanced functions in Excel/Google Sheets, basic SQL, BI platforms like Tableau or Looker) and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.
• Demonstrated success in transforming legacy manual processes into scalable, technology-driven workflows that support hypergrowth without proportional headcount increases.
• Exceptional project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities—comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with distributed teams.
