Director of Estimating – Solar

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Blattner's preconstruction and estimating initiatives for utility-scale solar projects.

• Propel the pursuit of profitable and feasible work while cultivating a high-performing estimating team.

• Offer strategic direction across estimating, procurement, engineering, supply chain, commercial operations, and construction.

• Guarantee that every proposal is technically robust, commercially viable, and in line with business goals.

• Influence strategies to secure work while fostering enduring client relationships.

• Continuously enhance preconstruction processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of leadership experience in estimating, preconstruction, procurement, or construction management, ideally with utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.

• Strong comprehension of engineering collaboration, construction methodologies, estimating techniques, procurement, financial modeling, contract negotiations, and project execution.

• Demonstrated capability to lead and nurture high-performing teams while encouraging collaboration and ongoing improvement.

• Experience in managing complex pursuits, crafting competitive estimating strategies, and mitigating both commercial and technical risks.

• Solid business acumen with the capacity to build client relationships, negotiate successfully, and assist in business development efforts.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership abilities with the skill to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating/construction software such as HCSS and Primavera P6 is preferred.

• Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
