Director of Estimating – Life Sciences, Pharma Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Consult with executive-level existing clients, demonstrating the services that have established Cumming as an industry leader by consistently prioritizing client needs.

• Enhance services for current clients by offering solutions to their challenges and creating new revenue-generating opportunities.

• Actively engage in the recruitment and development of a diverse and talented team.

• Collaborate with other Cumming service line leaders to provide an integrated project approach to clients, distinguishing Cumming from its competitors.

• Prepare fee proposals and negotiate agreements for professional services.

• Ensure quality assurance of cost estimates prior to submission to clients.

• Offer recommendations to Cumming senior leadership regarding cost management strategies and assist in setting company, regional, and sector goals.

• Supervise the quality of team outputs and coach for outstanding performance.

• Aggressively drive revenue growth across diverse service offerings or markets.

• Take responsibility for fiscal performance in alignment with company objectives.

• Provide timely business reporting for forecasts and other requirements.

• Analyze company results and P&L for the area of responsibility, delivering reports to senior management.

• Mentor and guide team development.

• Approve invoices and collaborate with Finance & Accounting on accounts receivable.

• Develop strategies for business development and marketing.

• Offer organizational leadership within the area of responsibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

• 9 to 12 years of experience in Cost & Commercial Management.

• Over 5 years of experience leading client expectations and managing a business unit.

• Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE, or equivalent.
