Director of Environmental Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee all HHS Environmental Service Programs throughout your shift.

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing EVS team across various locations in the St. Louis region.

• Promote a positive, productive, and fulfilling work environment grounded in teamwork, respect, and accountability.

• Ensure that cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are consistently upheld across designated facilities.

• Perform regular inspections of facilities and implement action plans to address areas needing improvement.

• Recruit, train, coach, and mentor team members to foster operational excellence.

• Collaborate with facility leaders, department heads, and HHS leadership to meet performance objectives.

• Monitor customer and patient satisfaction, implementing strategies to enhance the overall experience.

• Analyze operational data to make informed decisions that align with facility, budget, and compliance goals.

• Develop, maintain, and monitor quality control systems and operational budgets.

• Ensure adherence to OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other relevant health and safety regulations.

• Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and support to EVS teams at assigned locations.

• Travel frequently between facilities to bolster operations and team development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing both salaried and hourly employees.

• Preferred experience in environmental services, housekeeping, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to cultivate relationships with employees, facility leaders, and clients.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and other computer applications.

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

• Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time.

• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.

• Openness to relocation for future career advancement opportunities.

• Preferred experience managing Environmental Services or housekeeping operations within a healthcare environment.

• Familiarity with OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards is preferred.

• Bilingual communication skills, especially in Spanish, are an asset.

• Experience overseeing multiple locations or teams is preferred.

• Knowledge of quality assurance programs, labor management, and operational budgets is preferred.
