Director of Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor Engineering Managers across various teams.

• Drive consistent delivery of significant business outcomes with a strong emphasis on quality and ownership.

• Collaborate with Product teams to shape roadmaps, assess trade-offs, and align engineering investments with business objectives.

• Offer technical leadership in architecture, platform strategy, and cross-team decision-making.

• Enhance execution through improved planning, risk management, dependency coordination, and accountability.

• Ensure teams concentrate on the most valuable tasks while balancing speed, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

• Foster organizational growth through recruitment, performance management, and leadership development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, including experience in leading Engineering Managers or multiple teams.

• Strong technical judgment and credibility, with the capability to steer architecture and technical strategy.

• Proven success in building high-performing teams that reliably deliver business-critical systems.

• Experience collaborating closely with Product to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Strong execution abilities, including risk management, prioritization, and fostering accountability.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Demonstrated capability to coach managers and cultivate engineering leaders.

• Ability to excel in a high-growth environment characterized by ambiguity and competing priorities.
