Director of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive engineering execution for WebRezPro.

• Guarantee consistent, high-caliber delivery that aligns with product roadmaps and business priorities.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA teams to enhance speed, quality, and measurable customer impact.

• Align engineering initiatives with growth targets, including new customer acquisition, revenue expansion, payment integration, and customer retention.

• Expedite development by embracing AI-assisted engineering practices, such as code generation, automated testing, and release optimization.

• Set and maintain standards for code quality, system performance, scalability, and security.

• Implement best practices for automated testing, observability, incident response, and operational readiness.

• Propel platform modernization and reduce technical debt across the portfolio.

• Utilize AI-enabled tools and workflows to boost developer productivity and shorten development cycles.

• Cultivate a culture of craftsmanship, ownership, and continuous improvement supported by data and automation.

• Own and refine Pod & Sprint operating frameworks to enhance collaboration, planning, and delivery cadence.

• Standardize engineering practices across diverse business units.

• Continuously assess team structure, capacity, and workflows to enhance efficiency and throughput.

• Directly manage the engineering and software analyst team, fostering their development as effective leaders in both people and delivery.

• Build and scale high-performing engineering teams within WebRezPro.

• Spearhead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management efforts.

• Establish training and expectations for the effective use of AI tools to boost individual and team productivity.

• Act as a technical thought partner to Product and Business Unit leaders across Fullsteam Hospitality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 5 years in a leadership role within engineering.

• Experience managing multiple teams or products in a SaaS environment.

• Proven history of delivering scalable, customer-facing software platforms.

• Strong background in building and developing team members.

• Demonstrated success in enhancing delivery predictability, operational performance, and engineering quality.

• Capability to translate business strategy and growth objectives into technical priorities and execution.

• Experience in the PMS industry.

• Minimum qualifications include leading engineering across multiple business units or product lines.

• Background in vertical SaaS, SMB software, or payment-adjacent platforms.

• Experience in platform modernization, cloud-native architectures, or intricate system integrations.

• Proven experience in implementing AI-enabled product capabilities, developer productivity tools, or large-scale automation.

• Experience in growth-stage or multi-product SaaS environments.
