Director of Construction Cost Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of Cost Managers in delivering cost management services for a large-scale construction initiative.

• Ensure excellence in service delivery, foster continuous growth of our cost management service offerings, and enhance client engagement.

• Oversee communications with clients and manage the services provided by the cost management team.

• Conduct research on construction market conditions, including the analysis of officially published data.

• Generate thought leadership reports that offer valuable insights into the construction market.

• Develop strategic and operational management approaches for Cost Management Services across various sectors.

• Establish a clear strategy in alignment with our Business Plan for the team.

• Foster a culture of learning, respect, and inclusivity.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and participate in ISO audits.

• Create priority plans that include risk mitigation strategies through internal tools, management controls, and critical success factors.

• Prepare proposals and responses to RFPs for new clients and projects.

• Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to attract top talent.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.

• A graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.

• More than 12 years of relevant experience in cost management or quantity surveying.

• At least 2 years of experience managing high-performing cost management teams within a consulting environment.

• Previous experience in people management.

• A proven track record of successfully delivering cost management services to clients.

• Exceptional business development skills and a strong ambition to drive business growth.

• Experience in the major construction sector, working with high-caliber clients in areas such as commercial real estate, data centers, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, and natural resources.

• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.
