This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +5 more states.
• Lead teams in implementing the strategy for AI-generated and AI-enhanced legal case law content.
• Create and manage roadmaps for AI case law initiatives, spanning from proof-of-concept to production deployment.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI implementation across workflows such as collection, conversion, enrichment, summarization, classification, linking, and updates.
• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to enhance Lexis+ AI and related research experiences.
• Supervise AI-driven case law content initiatives across various jurisdictions and content streams.
• Ensure that AI-generated content adheres to standards of legal accuracy, editorial quality, consistency, and trustworthiness.
• Establish governance frameworks that include human-in-the-loop review, version control, auditability, and risk management.
• Transition well-developed AI solutions into regular business workflows when suitable.
• Provide regular presentations to senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment.
• Foster AI skills and editorial best practices within content teams.
• Act as the primary editorial liaison for AI-related case law initiatives with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and UX.
• Convert editorial and legal requirements into AI content specifications, evaluation criteria, and measures of success.
• Define and monitor metrics for quality, coverage, freshness, and scalability.
• Create feedback loops to enhance AI outputs using editorial reviews, customer feedback, and downstream usage data.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory issues, and emerging best practices concerning AI in legal publishing.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Studies in legal fields or a JD are preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in legal content, legal workflows, publishing, product, or editorial roles.
• More than 5 years of experience in people management.
• Proven experience in leading AI-enabled or automation-driven content initiatives.
• Strong grasp of case law content, legal research workflows, and editorial standards.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
• Familiarity with AI technologies, including LLMs, NLP, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different time zones.
• Solid understanding of machine learning and natural language processing.
• Experience in enhancing LLMs, AI tools, or similar technologies.
• Skill in crafting effective prompts and designing evaluative techniques.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and performance metrics.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments, senior leadership, and global teams.
