
Director of Business Development – Clinical Research, CNS/Neuro Experience Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Identify and seek out new business opportunities within the clinical research industry.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to formulate strategies for acquiring new business.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and various stakeholders.
• Create and implement comprehensive business development plans.
• Participate in conferences and industry events as required, utilizing networks to generate leads and finalize deals.
• Perform market research and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and deliver tailored proposals to clients that showcase clinical research services.
• Monitor sales activities, set targets, manage the pipeline, and evaluate performance metrics.
• Report on business development activities and performance to senior management.
• Serve as a representative for the organization at industry conferences and relevant events.
• May oversee the interviewing, selection, performance appraisals, timecards, absences, onboarding, training, counseling, coaching, and termination meetings.
• Engage in and present at management or site meetings.
• Carry out other assigned tasks.
• A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development or sales within the clinical research sector.
• Experience with a concentration on CNS/Neuro.
• Strong understanding of clinical research processes and industry trends.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships and stimulate revenue growth.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet applications, and typing at a speed of 40+ wpm.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills.
• Effective interpersonal and listening skills.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams, clients, sponsors, and various organizational levels.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while adapting to changes in workload.
