Director of Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the CPO, COO, and CEO to pinpoint and prioritize operational opportunities throughout the organization.

• Analyze workflows across client services, implementation, product operations, and go-to-market strategies — and propose modifications with definitive solutions.

• Oversee the execution of approved changes, partnering directly with functional leaders and their teams.

• Create and implement automated workflows utilizing modern tools, including AI-driven solutions, to minimize manual tasks and enhance team efficiency.

• Evaluate the effects of changes and refine approaches based on data insights.

• Develop sustainable operating systems — encompassing documentation, dashboards, and workflows that endure beyond any single project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in business operations, strategy and operations, internal consulting, or a comparable cross-functional role.

• Demonstrated success in identifying inefficiencies within complex organizations and effectively leading operational improvement initiatives.

• Practical experience in constructing automated workflows. You should be familiar with tools like Claude, n8n, Zapier, Make, Retool, or similar platforms, and be able to reference specific automations you have developed and implemented.

• Strong systems thinking — able to comprehend how processes, teams, and tools interconnect, and identify dependencies that may be overlooked by others.

• Comfortable engaging directly with executives and presenting recommendations to senior leadership on a regular basis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Self-motivated and results-driven — capable of determining your own priorities and executing tasks without close oversight.
