This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Develop reporting that is informative, actionable, and repeatable, showcasing significant business trends and areas for improvement.
• Perform insightful, ad hoc analyses to address ongoing or unique operational challenges.
• Leverage expertise in data structures to enhance organizational capabilities through data analytics.
• Oversee the reporting request queue, prioritize tasks, manage request fulfillment, and communicate timelines and statuses promptly.
• Establish a reporting and analytics roadmap that identifies key milestones and deliverables, catering to current and future business requirements—utilizing Bottom Line’s data calendar as a foundational tool.
• Ensure the development and publication of timely, accurate, and insightful reports.
• Manage or collaborate with consultants to create and deliver dashboards and actionable insights that inform program success, fundraising strategies, and performance, guiding HR decision-making.
• Assist in the onboarding and knowledge transfer process for new hires and consultants within the data team.
• Collaborate with Bottom Line Program teams across all regions to develop reports and dashboards that provide metrics on caseloads and performance against key targets.
• Consult with Development teams, conducting analyses that encompass understanding fundraising objectives, formulating analytical strategies, performing data extraction and exploration, and translating findings into actionable insights.
• Work with the Salesforce Engineer to assess the effects of changes on dashboards and reports.
• Apply statistical methods to construct multivariate analyses and/or predictive/explanatory models addressing key strategic projects and inquiries.
• Actively seek insights hidden within Bottom Line’s Enterprise Datawarehouse to facilitate smarter decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define business requirements related to data and reporting needs for analysis, ensuring accurate outcomes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to create consistent and reliable structured definitions for data and metrics used in reporting and analysis.
• Conduct User Acceptance testing on all end-user deliverables to gather stakeholder feedback and enhancement requests, ensuring error-free organizational dashboards and reports through consistent Quality Assurance activities.
• Ensure that all program and development dashboards and reports created in Power BI are delivered promptly, maintain high quality, and are continuously updated and improved for organizational decision-making and performance measurement.
• Utilize JIRA to centralize and streamline prioritized requirements and ad-hoc requests.
• Lead sprint review meetings to showcase completed work products and assess product backlog priorities for upcoming sprints.
• Manage the backlog for each sprint cycle to guarantee high-quality work product delivery.
• Create presentations that effectively illustrate data in a manner that is accessible and easy for stakeholders to grasp.
• Participate in, and sometimes lead, data governance meetings, providing valuable content and insights to discussions.
• Clearly articulate analysis and complex concepts to non-experts in both spoken and written formats.
• Develop documentation for each analysis performed and/or dashboard report created.
• Prepare research, reports, summaries, presentations, and other materials that encapsulate findings for both internal and external audiences.
• Establish and manage a learning community (both virtual and in-person) for members engaged in data analysis of key data points.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in developing and utilizing advanced analytics and reporting techniques.
• Strong technical background in analytics, applied data science, and reporting, including data visualization, statistical modeling, and descriptive analytics.
• Experience in collaborating with and/or managing consultants to deliver reporting dashboards and/or predictive modeling tasks, along with priority setting and overseeing daily activities.
• Proficient computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, and Python.
• Ability to leverage business data to enhance programs, improve outcomes, identify efficiencies, and support Bottom Line in becoming a data-driven organization.
• Proven analytical skills, including proficiency in quantitative analytical concepts such as statistical methods and database structures.
• Demonstrated ability to present ideas and complex research insights clearly and effectively through various mediums (including written reports, presentations, data visualizations, and proposals) to audiences with diverse expertise levels.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and curious.
