This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate positioning strategies for new product or category opportunities that are emerging.
• Develop messaging hierarchies, core consumer advantages, proof points, and strategic narratives that will guide packaging, direct-to-consumer, retail, and campaign implementation.
• Perform or summarize reviews of category and competitive landscapes to pinpoint white space and differentiation possibilities.
• Produce creative briefs that offer explicit direction for internal creative teams and/or agency partners.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Creative, Consumer Insights, and other cross-functional teams to enhance work through structured review phases.
• Ensure that recommendations are consistent with the AG1 brand strategy, tone, consumer positioning, and quality standards.
• Provide clear, polished, and ready-to-use documents that facilitate timely creative and go-to-market planning.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in brand strategy, innovation marketing, product marketing, or marketing related to new product development.
• Demonstrated capability to create positioning frameworks, messaging architecture, and creative briefs for consumer products.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to distill complex inputs into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Experience in developing positioning and messaging for new or evolving product categories.
• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to generate polished, executive-ready deliverables.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with brand, creative, insights, product, and go-to-market stakeholders.
• A strong independent operator who can quickly adapt, manage defined deliverables, and efficiently incorporate feedback.
• Preferably experienced in wellness, consumer packaged goods, supplements, functional food and beverage, or consumer health brands.
• Prior experience at a Director level or as a senior consultant is preferred.
