This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Mission Impact Investing to ensure that investment strategies and outcomes align with Britebound’s mission and program objectives.
• Create investment theses and establish selection criteria to filter viable investment opportunities.
• Support communication efforts and maintain relationships with Britebound’s Investment Committee.
• Partner with entrepreneurs to identify potential investment opportunities.
• Execute due diligence, recommend investments, and negotiate terms.
• Oversee the performance of all investments and guarantee appropriate documentation for accounting and audit purposes.
• Provide technical assistance to investees, such as reviewing business plans and acting as a Board observer or representative.
• Maintain an optimal balance between innovation, return expectations, and risk appetite.
• Ensure Britebound adheres to its investment fundamentals statement.
• Develop metrics to evaluate the performance of mission-driven investments and facilitate effective reporting for all stakeholders.
• Communicate and present the activities, results, strategies, and insights related to the investment portfolio to trustees, the Investment Committee, and senior management.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or management consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex transactions, and build professional relationships.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.
• High level of honesty and integrity, with a commitment to Britebound’s mission.
• Broad network of social investors and experience in collaborating with various funders and investors.
• Excellent understanding and expertise in negotiating, structuring, and managing equity and debt investments.
• Exceptional entrepreneurial skills, showcasing experience and competencies in understanding the growth of private companies.
• Significant experience working with small, high-performing teams to achieve investment results.
• Proven leadership presence, with strong verbal and written communication skills, relationship building, networking, and public speaking abilities.
• An MBA and/or CFA designation is preferred, with a solid foundation in finance and investing.
