Director, Market Access & Reimbursement

📋 Description

• Spearhead the formulation and implementation of reimbursement and market access strategies for INSIGHTEC’s MR-guided Focused Ultrasound portfolio.

• Formulate and execute reimbursement and market access strategies for the Americas, with a primary focus on the US market to support commercialization, product adoption, and business growth.

• Oversee initiatives related to coverage, coding, payment, and overall reimbursement for existing and future indications.

• Establish strategic partnerships with CMS national, Medicare Administrative Contractors, commercial payers, Medicaid agencies, and relevant reimbursement agencies in the Americas.

• Collaborate with government entities, health technology assessment organizations, and key stakeholders to facilitate evidence-based coverage decisions.

• Forge alliances with professional societies, advocacy groups, and industry associations to promote reimbursement goals.

• Develop reimbursement tools and educational materials for providers, hospitals, patients, and commercial teams.

• Work alongside Product Management, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Health Economics-Value, and Commercial Leadership to align market access strategies with business objectives.

• Assist in product launches, geographic expansion, and evidence generation from a market access perspective.

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing market access and reimbursement team in the Americas, including a US-based field team of 2 FTEs to facilitate claims adjudication.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MHA, or equivalent) is preferred.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in med tech market access, reimbursement, or healthcare policy within the medical device or broader healthcare industry.

• Proven success in securing reimbursement for innovative medical technologies across government and commercial payers in the US market.

• Some experience in the Canadian market is preferred.

• Expertise in expanding coverage within Medicare Administrative Contracting (MACs), developing submissions, and driving the establishment of Local Coverage Decisions (LCDs) as well as in Commercial payer markets including Nationals, BCBS, and regional payers.

• Familiarity with the AMA CPT Editorial Panel process, leading initiatives to secure CPT codes and alignment from key stakeholder groups.

• Knowledge of CMS annual rulemaking (e.g., OPPS, PFS) and a demonstrated history of engaging the agency to meet annual reimbursement objectives.

• Proven capability to influence executive stakeholders and spearhead cross-functional initiatives within a global organization.

• Previous experience launching disruptive technologies that necessitate new CPT/APC coding.

• Strong analytical skills to structure complex issues, synthesize key points, and communicate and present information in a clear and understandable manner.

• Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
