Director, Leads Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, insight-driven reporting and analytics to support the operations and customer insights of Compass International Holdings (CIH).

• Lead and cultivate a data & analytics team, promoting growth, collaboration, and a culture centered around data-driven decision-making.

• Oversee and manage the team's GitLab repository, ensuring effective version control, workflow management, and well-structured documentation of code, pipelines, and automations.

• Maintain and organize the team's Confluence documentation, which includes process maps, data flow diagrams, technical specifications, and analytical methodologies.

• Manage the Jira board to track and prioritize analytics projects, ensuring timely and transparent delivery to all stakeholders.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to migrate reporting from legacy systems (such as MS Access, Cognos, etc.) to Snowflake / Databricks for automated and scalable reporting solutions.

• Utilize Python and SQL to create data models, automate workflows, and conduct advanced data analysis that supports network operations, partner programs, and performance reporting.

• Develop and maintain regular reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses that aid leadership in decision-making and promote operational excellence.

• Establish and uphold clear data definitions, process documentation, and data lineage mapping to enhance accuracy and transparency across reporting.

• Provide insights and recommendations on program performance that influence partner strategies, broker performance initiatives, and network expansion.

• Advocate for a data-driven culture by continually optimizing tools, processes, and communication across both technical and non-technical teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of proven experience in data modeling and analytics.

• Capability to manipulate and derive insights from large, diverse datasets.

• Established ability to extract insights and narrate a story through data.

• Proficiency in managing GitLab for collaborative analytics workflows.

• Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and their fundamental concepts.

• Technical development skills that include, but are not limited to, MS Access, SQL, VBA, and Python.
