Director, IT Strategy Consulting – HHS Medicaid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee teams and provide strategic counsel to clients on both overarching and tactical issues, emphasizing how technology facilitates a diverse array of business outcomes within Health and Human Services agencies, particularly in Medicaid and Child Welfare.

• Proven experience in assisting state HHS agencies, especially in relation to federally funded systems modernization (including MMIS, eligibility enrollment, CCWIS, and EHRs).

• Foster thought leadership and cultivate client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.

• Supervise strategy and implementation stages, ensuring that all deliverables adhere to quality benchmarks.

• Juggle multiple priorities while motivating high-performing teams.

• Directly manage the delivery of large, intricate projects.

• Capable of creating, reviewing, and presenting deliverables effectively.

• Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to develop frameworks for junior staff members.

• Familiarity with the vendor landscape and ongoing state modernization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in Medicaid, Child Welfare, and/or public sector health IT programs (both technical and programmatic).

• Strong presence with clients and the capability to lead/manage teams effectively.

• Background in a reputable management or technology consultancy, focusing on project delivery and business development.

• Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and teams, merging technical acumen with strategic insight.

• Comfortable in influencing and fostering trust-based relationships with senior executives.

• A history of meeting or surpassing revenue targets is preferred.

• Intellectual curiosity and creativity when developing solutions to client issues.

• Open to coaching, adaptable, and dedicated to continuous improvement.
