This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +18 more states.
• Develop the international retailer strategy for Instacart, focusing on launching and expanding our range of Instacart Platform solutions by establishing a vision, commercialization strategy, and go-to-market planning for various retail enterprise opportunities beyond North America.
• Direct the Strategy & Planning team responsible for working with Engineering, Product, Corporate Development, Operations, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional partners to establish our international operating model and strategies for entering new markets.
• Oversee long-term planning for the international commercial business, translating our business momentum into specific targets that prioritize our efforts on the most impactful opportunities for sustaining long-term growth.
• Create the international commercial enablement system, which includes ROI models, go-to-market materials, and competitive intelligence. Collaborate with sales teams to utilize these resources for supporting both multi-solution platform partnerships and individual solution opportunities.
• Partner closely with our Strategic Partnerships team to discover avenues for accelerating our retail go-to-market strategy through growth and product collaborations.
• Present clear and persuasive content to senior leadership, both internally and with retail partners.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in grocery, retail, enterprise SaaS go-to-market strategies, or strategy consulting within the grocery sector, showcasing significant cross-functional collaborative project experience and a proven record of substantial business impact.
• Proven experience in establishing and managing an operating cadence and governance framework for a complex, cross-functional, and multi-regional business.
• Familiarity with operating in an international setting, including adaptability to diverse regulatory and competitive landscapes, new-market entry strategies, and managing distributed teams.
• Comfort with risk and ambiguity, with the ability to create structured and organized details even in uncertain contexts. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Exceptional executive-level written and visual communication skills catering to cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders. Proficiency in conveying a comprehensive narrative to diverse audiences, along with the credibility to delve into intricate details when necessary.
• Strong long-term strategic thinking complemented by practical execution capabilities, with a knack for transforming complex data into a coherent and meaningful narrative.
• Deep understanding of retailer dynamics and an ability to identify what is most crucial to our grocery and non-grocery partners' businesses.
