Director, Information Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Establishing and overseeing the security strategy for collaboration with different platform engineering teams throughout the organization.

• Building trusted partnerships with leaders and program management teams to gain insights into their roadmaps.

• Implementing the roadmap for the delivery of security controls.

• Assisting in identifying and acting on opportunities to mitigate information security risks.

• Collaborating with compliance stakeholders to uphold Akamai's diverse compliance certifications.

• Supporting subject matter experts in communicating security requirements and strategies across the organization.

• Offering strategic leadership for the internal adoption of Akamai's commercial security product offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

• Experience in partnering with engineering organizations to integrate security into both commercially available and internally developed platforms and services.

• A demonstrated history of managing a technical team effectively.

• Familiarity with security fundamentals and the significance of security in delivering cloud platforms and services.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and others to enhance the security of Akamai's systems.

• Utilize your technical expertise in internet, security, and cryptographic protocols to guide your team.

• Ability to form partnerships and communicate issues effectively with senior technical leaders and business stakeholders.
