This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Provides strategic direction and ownership of MSD’s enterprise application ecosystem.
• Drives enhancements in business capabilities, operational efficiency, and scalable digital solutions that support MSD’s manufacturing, commercial, and service sectors.
• Acts as a vital link between business stakeholders and technology delivery.
• Leads a team responsible for converting business requirements into sustainable system solutions that align with organizational growth goals.
• Directs the development of the enterprise systems roadmap, collaborating with business owners to identify capability gaps.
• Prioritizes initiatives and fosters continuous improvement in business processes through platform optimization.
• Oversees project leadership and management throughout all phases of solutions development and implementation.
• Ensures staff performance by clearly communicating job expectations and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Builds and nurtures a high-performing enterprise systems team through strategic recruitment, structured onboarding, mentoring, and intentional growth planning.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology.
• Guarantees that Enterprise System users receive comprehensive training on best practices.
• Monitors the enterprise systems landscape and provides forward-looking recommendations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a Business-related field is required.
• At least seven years of progressive experience with JD Edwards.
• A minimum of five years of progressive experience with another major ERP solution.
• At least five years of supervisory experience is required.
• Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred.
• Experience in managing teams of functional and technical resources.
• Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise projects.
• Familiarity with ERP Distribution, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Finance.
• Experience in international and multicurrency environments is preferred.
• Proficient in defining and testing reports, interfaces, data conversions, and enhancements.
• Experience in defining and mapping business processes.
• Knowledge of data warehousing for operational reporting is preferred.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or SaaS ERP deployments, or demonstrated leadership in an ERP platform evaluation or migration project in a manufacturing or life sciences context is preferred.
• Familiarity with PLM integration patterns (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, or Aras) and their relation to ERP and MES data flows is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms or middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Informatica) that facilitate application connectivity across ERP, MES, and CRM systems is preferred.
