This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of self-serve revenue growth by developing and managing the marketing engine that effectively engages developers at scale, guiding them from initial contact to signup, their first credit purchase, and increased usage.
• Strategically plan and purchase paid media across respected channels among developers: including search, social media, newsletters, podcast/creator sponsorships, audio, out-of-home (OOH), and event sponsorships, focusing on both brand awareness and direct response. You will manage the budget along with the agency/vendor relationships.
• Lead the AEO/SEO strategy for openrouter.ai, encompassing traditional organic search and answer-engine visibility, collaborating with content teams, engineering, and external experts to execute the strategy.
• Oversee conversion optimization efforts on critical pages and user flows (homepage, model pages, pricing, signup, credit purchase) in collaboration with product and engineering teams, maintaining a regular experimentation schedule.
• Manage the measurement for all paid initiatives, including attribution design, incrementality and holdout testing, channel reporting, and the quarterly forecasting and planning cycle for the paid budget.
• Provide support for enterprise demand generation as both an execution partner and strategic advisor, focusing on MQL/MQA generation programs and the metrics that connect marketing interactions to the sales pipeline.
• 8+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing, with significant time spent at a developer tools, API-first, or technical B2B SaaS company.
• Proven track record of being directly responsible for self-serve or usage-based revenue (signup, activation, and spending) as your main performance indicator.
• Experience managing an annual multi-channel paid budget exceeding $5M, or successfully scaling a program from seven figures to that level, with the ability to discuss your customer acquisition cost (CAC), payback calculations, and channels that were less effective.
• Proficient with measurement tools: product analytics (PostHog, GA4, Hex, or similar), attribution design, and at least one incrementality or holdout test you've personally designed.
• Experience directing SEO efforts for a technical product, with a well-informed perspective on AEO, particularly regarding changes in search results due to ChatGPT answers.
• Developed and managed CRO/experimentation programs with strong statistical rigor: hypothesis formulation, test design, analysis, and decision-making.
• A player/coach who is comfortable executing tasks independently today while also building the function (including agencies, contractors, and future hires) as it expands.
• Opportunities for professional development.
