Director, Gas Asset Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal owner for the performance of Divert's biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets across all operational facilities.

• Focus on maximizing asset availability, methane recovery, gas quality, safety, and lifecycle value through collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external technology partners.

• Provide strategic technical guidance, promote continuous improvement, set enterprise standards, and ensure that Divert's gas assets consistently deliver top-tier performance.

• Direct the enterprise strategy for gas handling and RNG assets, encompassing gas collection, compression, upgrading, CO2 removal, gas quality, and related utility systems.

• Collaborate closely with Operations and Maintenance to enhance RNG performance by creating enterprise standards for operation, maintenance, commissioning, and critical spare parts.

• Establish and monitor performance metrics and benchmarks across all operational facilities, identifying trends and disseminating best practices throughout the organization.

• Create a long-term roadmap for gas asset performance, including lifecycle planning and capital improvement suggestions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting, operating, maintaining, optimizing, or commissioning industrial gas handling, RNG, biogas, or similar process facilities.

• Proven track record of enhancing operational performance across multiple facilities.

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Experience in managing OEMs, engineering consultants, specialty contractors, and technology vendors.

• Strong grasp of industrial asset management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and lifecycle planning.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and business skills with the capability to translate technical challenges into operational and capital priorities.
