Director, Gas Asset Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary owner of the performance metrics for Divert's biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets across all operational facilities.

• Enhance asset availability, methane recovery, gas quality, safety, and lifecycle value through collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external technology partners.

• Offer strategic technical direction and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

• Create a long-term strategy for gas asset performance, encompassing lifecycle planning and equipment standardization.

• Direct root cause analyses for significant production losses and equipment malfunctions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting, operating, maintaining, optimizing, or commissioning industrial gas handling, RNG, biogas, or similar process facilities.

• Proven track record of enhancing operational performance across various facilities.

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Experience in managing OEMs, engineering consultants, specialty contractors, and technology vendors.

• Strong knowledge of industrial asset management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and lifecycle planning.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and business skills, with the capability to convert technical challenges into operational and capital priorities.
