This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the Field Access Manager (FAM) Team in facilitating patient access within the infectious disease sector.
• Inform accounts about effective and efficient methods that enhance patient access to prescribed product(s).
• Assist healthcare professionals (HCPs) during the enrollment and access phases.
• Direct the FAM team in fostering account confidence in patient access by educating them about the access journey, payer coverage landscape, transitions of care, and all relevant access resources.
• Coordinate and collaborate internally with Market Access, Sales, Marketing, and all Patient Support Services.
• Build a FAM Team for the Company's new brand introduction in the infectious disease field.
• Collaborate with Patient Access and Market Access Marketing to ensure that appropriate training resources and materials for HCPs are readily available.
• Mentor, inspire, and guide FAMs to meet goals and objectives with an emphasis on accountability, results, and teamwork.
• Ensure the Field Access team adheres to compliant behaviors relating to HIPAA/patient privacy and maintains accurate documentation in the CRM system.
• Formulate strategies and processes, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, to address access challenges in a compliant manner.
• Assess needs and spearhead the development of patient access resources to enhance account education.
• Deliver relevant and timely performance updates to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in science, business, healthcare, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech with a strong emphasis on medication access and patient support services within infectious disease, supporting access in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• A background in HIV & Oncology is preferred.
• Over 5 years of managerial experience with a proven ability to motivate, coach, lead, and execute strategy.
• In-depth knowledge of payer policies, including public and private payers, expert knowledge of benefit verifications and prior authorization requirements, as well as reimbursement processes across various care settings.
• A demonstrated history of developing and successfully implementing medication access strategies.
• A patient-centric and service-oriented approach.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Experience in budget planning and management.
• Flexible and innovative, with the ability to solve problems and effectively manage multiple tasks.
• Team-oriented with demonstrated experience in partnering with commercial sales, market access, and other stakeholders.
• Successful experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with compliance standards and legal requirements for product manufacturers.
• Ability to manage a large territory and travel nationally up to 60%, including overnight stays.
