• Create a comprehensive mapping of the NYC fintech and institutional finance landscape, including founders, operators, and innovators who have successfully launched products, while establishing proactive pipelines for crucial, specialized hiring initiatives.
• Cultivate strong, ongoing connections within the NYC fintech entrepreneurial ecosystem, including VC firms, venture studios, portfolio talent teams, and founder networks that encompass this archetype.
• Identify key players prior to their announcements on LinkedIn, ensuring you have the established relationships that encourage them to take your call.
• Oversee the complete search process for VP, SVP, and C-suite positions throughout the organization, from the initial intake and profile definition to the final offer and closure.
• Facilitate targeted recruitment for new product initiatives that require talent profiles outside conventional recruiting channels, prioritizing speed and network depth over standard procedures.
• Conduct and commission extensive market mapping and competitive intelligence to pinpoint, monitor, and engage executive talent within targeted companies and sectors.
• Advocate for inclusive hiring practices at the executive level by proactively fostering diverse talent pipelines and reducing bias during the assessment process.
• A minimum of 12 years of executive or senior-level recruiting experience, whether in-house, retained search, or a combination of both, with a strong preference for direct experience in building or significantly scaling a function.
• A well-established, warm network within the NYC fintech entrepreneurial community, comprising founders, operators, and innovators who have brought products to market in the institutional finance sector.
• Experience working closely with or within VC firms, venture studios, or high-growth companies during their critical growth periods.
• Proven ability to operate at the confluence of recruiting and market intelligence, focusing on competitive dynamics rather than merely managing requisition queues.
• A track record of successfully placing candidates at the VP level and above across various functions, including GTM, Engineering, Finance, and/or Product.
• Experience in designing or transforming an executive search operating model, encompassing agency strategy, tooling choices, and team structure.
• Proficiency with AI-driven talent intelligence and sourcing tools, along with a strong belief that technology redefines the possibilities in executive search.
• Possess a strong executive presence, with the capability to advise and influence at the C-suite level, ensuring you are the go-to resource for leaders even before a search opens.
• Data-oriented: comfortable in constructing and interpreting talent acquisition analytics, market compensation data, and search performance dashboards.
• High level of discretion and professionalism when managing sensitive and confidential information.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with the skill to present and synthesize information at an executive level.
• Familiarity with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse, Workday, or similar systems.

• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
