This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site application assessments at customer locations, focusing on material handling equipment, docks, aisles, staging areas, production zones, rack configurations, traffic flows, load profiles, and shift activities.

• Collect facility information through direct observation, measurements, photographs, videos, telematics, and operational data to inform effective fleet recommendations.

• Clearly present discoveries and suggestions to customer stakeholders, including warehouse leaders, operations teams, and high-level decision-makers.

• Identify the appropriate equipment for the application, including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, AGVs, and other relevant material handling tools.

• Maintain comprehensive and unbiased knowledge of major OEMs and material handling equipment categories I through VII.

• Develop and uphold a standardized specification library and decision-making tools to assist account management teams in delivering consistent solutions more efficiently.

• Collaborate with account management teams during strategic customer visits, prospect tours, and business reviews to provide technical expertise and facilitate consultative selling.

• Act as the primary equipment resource for account management teams, aiding in solution development, customer meetings, and addressing technical objections both in person and remotely.

• Educate account management teams on equipment fundamentals, application concepts, and how to align fleet solutions with customer requirements.

• Collaborate with Supplier Management on vendor initiatives, pricing alignment, OEM price comparisons, and market trends.

• Coordinate with Operations and Service teams to evaluate actual equipment performance against specification expectations.

• Provide leadership with insights on equipment trends, OEM performance, automation, telematics, alternative power sources, and other emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with material handling equipment in a dealer, OEM, or large end-user fleet setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience in application engineering, fleet consulting, or equipment sales engineering with a solid field-based history.

• Extensive knowledge of MHE classes I through VII, warehouse operations, facility layouts, and equipment applications.

• Capability to interpret facility drawings and rack layouts, as well as operational data such as throughput, utilization, hour meters, and telematics.

• Strong analytical abilities, including proficiency with Excel, fleet management systems, and customer data analysis.

• Proficient in translating technical information into clear, business-oriented discussions with customers and internal teams.

• Willingness and capacity to travel 60% or more, including overnight trips.

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to fly domestically without restrictions.

• Knowledge of AGV/AMR automation, lithium-ion power solutions, warehouse management systems, and upcoming fleet technologies.

• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, industrial engineering, equipment leasing, or equipment finance.
