This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site application assessments at client facilities, covering aspects such as material handling equipment, docks, aisles, staging areas, production zones, rack configurations, traffic flows, load profiles, and shift activities.

• Collect facility data via direct observation, measurements, photography, video, telematics, and operational analytics to support actionable fleet recommendations.

• Clearly present findings and suggestions to customer stakeholders, including warehouse managers, operations teams, and executive decision-makers.

• Identify the appropriate equipment for the application, which may include forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, AGVs, and other related material handling devices.

• Maintain comprehensive, brand-agnostic knowledge of major OEMs and material handling equipment classes I through VII.

• Create and sustain a standardized specification library and decision-making tools that aid account management teams in developing consistent solutions more efficiently.

• Accompany account management teams on strategic customer visits, prospect walkthroughs, and business evaluations to lend technical credibility and enhance consultative selling.

• Act as the primary equipment resource for account management teams, assisting in solution development, customer engagements, and addressing technical objections both in person and remotely.

• Educate account management teams on equipment fundamentals, application principles, and how to tailor fleet solutions to meet customer requirements.

• Collaborate with Supplier Management on vendor initiatives, pricing synchronization, OEM price comparisons, and market insights.

• Work alongside Operations and Service teams to assess actual equipment performance against specification expectations.

• Provide leadership with insights on equipment trends, OEM performance, automation, telematics, alternative power sources, and other emerging technologies.

• Additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with material handling equipment in a dealership, OEM, or large end-user fleet setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven proficiency in application engineering, fleet consulting, or equipment sales engineering, with a strong field-based performance record.

• Extensive knowledge of MHE classes I through VII, warehouse operations, facility configurations, and equipment applications.

• Capability to interpret facility drawings and rack layouts, as well as operational data such as throughput, utilization, hour meters, and telematics.

• Strong analytical abilities, including proficiency with Excel, fleet management software, and customer data analytics.

• Ability to convey technical information in a clear, business-oriented manner to customers and internal teams.

• Willingness and capacity to travel 60% or more, including overnight trips.

• Valid driver's license and unrestricted ability to fly domestically.

• Familiarity with AGV/AMR automation, lithium-ion power solutions, warehouse management systems, and emerging fleet technologies.

• Experience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, industrial engineering, equipment leasing, or equipment financing.
