Director, Enterprise Applications, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Formulate the strategy, roadmap, and operations for enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with business leaders to convert functional requirements into scalable technology solutions.

• Manage relationships with vendors, including contracts, licensing, upgrades, and integrations.

• Ensure all applications comply with security, compliance, and scalability standards.

• Create and implement a comprehensive enterprise data strategy.

• Supervise platforms such as data warehouses, data lakes, reporting, and analytics tools.

• Promote the adoption of self-service BI and analytics throughout the organization.

• Establish guidelines for data ownership, stewardship, and lifecycle management.

• Integrate AI, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance business processes.

• Lead efforts to consolidate and modernize data platforms, including transitioning to the cloud.

• Align enterprise systems with digital transformation objectives in partnership with senior leadership.

• Build and develop a high-performing team of application administrators, data engineers, and BI specialists.

• Encourage collaboration among IT, business stakeholders, and vendors.

• Oversee budgets, contracts, and a portfolio of strategic projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Over 10 years of progressive IT experience, including more than 5 years in leadership roles for enterprise applications and data teams.

• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce and enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Tableau, Power BI).

• Demonstrated expertise in data governance, integrations, and BI tools.

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and SaaS applications.
