This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build and oversee a multi-team engineering organization with defined objectives, outcome-oriented metrics, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Enhance delivery throughput and resource utilization by implementing streamlined processes, automation, and AI-driven tools without sacrificing quality or maintainability.
• Promote AI-enhanced engineering methodologies by incorporating AI tools and automation into workflows while ensuring human oversight and clear guidelines.
• Direct roadmap execution with active technical and architectural guidance to guarantee scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Align teams with enterprise architecture, governance, and common engineering standards to enhance consistency and code quality.
• Collaborate with product, program, operations, and business teams to convert priorities into engineering plans that yield measurable results.
• Modernize development and testing methodologies through automation, DevOps, and AI-driven workflows that enhance quality, security, and efficiency.
• Recruit, nurture, and retain top engineering talent while fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and innovation.
• A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3–5 years in leadership roles as a people manager.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Significant experience in designing and delivering intricate software systems using Java, React/Angular, microservices, relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, and contemporary AI-enhanced engineering practices, including recent hands-on technical involvement.
• Demonstrated success in leading multiple teams and managers to deliver enterprise software across distributed organizations.
• Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to build, develop, and mentor high-performing engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of Lean, iterative, and flow-based delivery methodologies that support quality, continuous improvement, and effective execution.
• Proven track record of enhancing engineering practices through automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software operations and DevOps practices, encompassing reliability, monitoring, telemetry, and incident response.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in complex technical environments.
• Capacity to establish and achieve short- and long-term objectives across projects and teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated sectors with stringent compliance, security, and data privacy requirements is preferred.
