• Located in the UAE or UK, responsible for driving the development of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) as primary target markets.
• Key areas of focus include Events, IP/Brand Extension, Branded Hospitality, Media, and more.
• Utilize strong relationships to identify, negotiate, and finalize new partnerships and business ventures for PMC.
• Core responsibilities encompass prospecting, lead generation, deal negotiations, contract redlining with Legal, and senior-level partnership management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups across respective PMC Brands (including Executive Management, Sales, Marketing, Editorial) to garner support and consensus for new business initiatives, market expansions, and licensing opportunities.
• Success will be measured by annual licensing revenue and new business revenue growth.
• Stay informed on industry trends and developments to uncover new growth opportunities.
• Participate in industry events to seek out new partnerships and business opportunities.
• Emphasize the development of large, strategic multi-year revenue programs instead of smaller, one-off opportunities.
• Renegotiate and extend current content licensing agreements and other business development partnerships as necessary.
• Over 10 years of business development experience, with a minimum of 5 years in licensing at a Media/Entertainment company.
• In-depth understanding and comfort with industry revenue models and business terms (e.g., revenue guarantees, royalties, rights & permissions, etc.).
• Proven track record of leading and negotiating complex deals while managing competing priorities; exceptional prioritization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to leverage an established network of contacts for prospecting.
• Extensive experience in creating and executing innovative, non-advertising partner programs that generate recurring revenue.
• Advanced understanding of contract review, with the ability to expertly redline contracts and collaborate closely with Legal to finalize deals.
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Excellent communicator with a proactive, extroverted personality and a strong sense of urgency.
• Significant experience in managing and optimizing partnerships through deal execution and beyond.
• 20-25% travel required, including client meetings, trade shows, PMC offices, etc.
• Language: Native English speaker; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
