This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the Direct Responsible Individual (DRI) for all revenue adjustments in weekly reports, ensuring the underlying logic, file integrity, and formula accuracy are maintained.
• Conduct active reconciliation checks to guarantee that adjustments are precise, comprehensive, and justifiable at any point during the week.
• Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams throughout the week to integrate new insights prior to the weekly close.
• Facilitate weekly alignment meetings with the FP&A team, taking ownership of Week-over-Week (WoW) variance explanations and distributing summaries to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage all types of deals from initiation to conclusion, encompassing standard structures as well as complex, unique, and customer-specific arrangements.
• Uphold and implement the Deal Desk approval matrix; spearhead a bi-annual Deal Desk Strategy Review with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Be accountable for the philosophy and commercial rationale behind Liftoff's approach to deal structures, including eligibility criteria and deal parameters by customer segment.
• For non-standard deals, lead initial diligence processes, including comprehensive financial modeling.
• Oversee weekly cross-functional reviews of active non-standard deals, providing recommendations for budget and commercial adjustments as necessary.
• Generate monthly performance updates on active deal programs for senior leadership, including detailed variance analysis against initial assumptions.
• Monitor cash flows and financial obligations on structured deals, updating models as actuals are reported and proactively identifying deviations.
• Lead the accrual review process for all key Deal Desk items, including complex arrangements.
• Maintain a well-supported, defensible stance on accrual levels, with the supporting data and rationale prepared for presentation in senior Finance meetings.
• This position includes the direct management of a Senior Analyst, with responsibilities for mentorship, prioritization, and upholding high analytical standards across Deal Desk operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in commercial finance, deal desk, revenue operations, or strategic finance; with at least 5 years of direct responsibility over deal structuring or commercial agreements.
• Proven ability to independently assess complex deal economics, build robust financial models, and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and the operational dynamics of commercial deal management.
• Exceptional judgment, capable of maintaining a position under commercial pressure while fostering collaboration and solution-oriented approaches.
• A track record of true DRI ownership, including the proactive identification of risks, driving processes, and escalating issues only when genuinely necessary.
• Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting to CXO-level audiences.
