Director, Data Strategy – Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership, develop, and enhance the enterprise data architecture that supports all product verticals.

• Set standards, best practices, and repeatable frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption.

• Align the data strategy with internal product roadmaps, engineering schedules, and advanced client analytics requirements.

• Define the scope of data migrations, including constraints, historical needs, and success criteria.

• Manage the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes into test, UAT, and production environments.

• Evaluate source data usability; cleanse, normalize, and remove duplicates from data sets to prepare them for analytics.

• Provide guidance to clients on data collection techniques and effective data governance/stewardship frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of progressive leadership experience in Data Architecture, Enterprise Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Strategy.

• Proven ability to structure and execute complex enterprise data migrations and integrations with third-party software.

• Prior experience in client-facing professional services or premium data consulting is highly desirable.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related technical field.

• Certifications in data management or governance (e.g., DAMA‑CDMP) are preferred.
