This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of and enhance the enterprise data and analytics strategy, priorities, and multi-quarter roadmap to align with business outcomes and measurable value realization.
• Establish and oversee a centralized data and analytics operating model, which encompasses intake, prioritization, delivery planning, funding coordination, and executive governance routines.
• Define the organizational standards, operating rhythms, and success metrics for enterprise analytics delivery.
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on matters related to data, analytics, reporting modernization, and AI-driven business capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional efforts across data engineering, data platform, analytics, and reporting teams to ensure scalable and reliable delivery.
• Propel enterprise adoption of a cloud lakehouse architecture utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Fabric and modern analytics platforms.
• Establish and enforce reusable data patterns, semantic models, metadata standards, scalable data products, and documentation protocols.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to guarantee governance, scalability, resilience, and compliance across enterprise data services.
• Stabilize and modernize enterprise reporting by promoting consistent metrics, reliable semantic definitions, and standardized reporting practices across Power BI, Excel, and other enterprise reporting tools.
• Minimize duplicate reporting, inconsistent KPIs, and manual reporting processes by instituting centralized governance and delivery standards.
• Define and monitor analytics performance metrics that include:
• Adoption and utilization
• Delivery cycle time
• Data quality and reliability
• Self-service enablement
• Business value realization
• Establish and manage enterprise delivery governance, steering committees, prioritization frameworks, and escalation paths.
• Build team capacity and capability through coaching, role clarity, partner/vendor management, and improvements in operational maturity.
• Develop scalable intake and prioritization models that balance strategic initiatives, operational support, and business demand.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to align technical execution with enterprise priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with security, architecture, and business teams to outline the enterprise roadmap for AI-enabled productivity tools and workflow-integrated copilots.
• Support the governed and practical adoption of AI capabilities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and enabling business success.
• Assess emerging technologies and analytics capabilities that enhance enterprise reporting, automation, and decision support.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise data, analytics, business intelligence, or related technology domains.
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and constructing scalable organizational structures.
• Proven success in building or transforming enterprise-scale data and analytics functions.
• Strong leadership experience in enterprise data strategy, roadmap development, and initiatives focused on value realization.
• Demonstrated capability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across cross-functional organizations.
• In-depth understanding of:
• Modern data platforms and lakehouse architectures
• Semantic modeling principles
• Governance of enterprise reporting and analytics
• Data engineering and analytics delivery methodologies
• Experience implementing trusted semantic approaches and enhancing consistency in enterprise reporting metrics and definitions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure-based analytics ecosystems, including Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into technical delivery outcomes.
• Experience in developing operational governance models, prioritization processes, and enterprise delivery rhythms.
• Proven ability to lead through influence in matrixed enterprise environments.
• Strategic thinker with a strong operational execution discipline.
