This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Lead the company’s contract services team effectively.
• Conduct quality control on the substantive services provided by the Contract Services team to ensure the accuracy of deliverables for internal customers.
• Draft contracts for specific transactions lacking customer templates, collaborating closely with business areas to comprehend the transaction.
• Review, analyze, and negotiate government procurement and complex contracts.
• Create, update, or oversee Contract Services process and training documentation.
• Manage and facilitate the oversight of the contracts repository, reporting, and related databases.
• Promote the implementation of a technological solution aimed at enhancing team efficiency and accuracy in contract review and execution.
• Offer senior attorney guidance to the Contract Services team, including responsibilities related to personnel management.
• Take a proactive role in resolving other internal customer issues that emerge within the Contract Services scope of responsibility.
• At least seven years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or corporate legal department, specifically in commercial contract management services.
• Substantial experience collaborating with business clients and cross-functional teams while leading strategic projects and initiatives.
• A proven record of drafting and negotiating complex commercial and/or licensing agreements.
• Extensive experience in managing and developing a contracts or legal team.
• Highly self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation abilities, accompanied by excellent oral and written communication skills and sound judgment.
• Strong skills in cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Ability to think creatively to devise practical solutions for complex challenges.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated capability in managing multiple matters and projects, meeting deadlines, and functioning effectively both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong internal relationships, influence others, and collaborate with team members across all organizational levels.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality concerning corporate information.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
