Director – Construction Materials, Building Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver market insights regarding bolt-on opportunities, the competitive landscape, and valuation context within your specific subsector.

• Facilitate introductions to founders, family owners, and senior executives within your current network.

• Evaluate confidential information memoranda and management presentations for sector-specific operational alignment and risk assessment.

• Engage in private equity sponsor pitches when your subsector and operational expertise are applicable.

• Offer insights on operational due diligence regarding target companies.

• Counsel the Fireclay team on positioning and messaging strategies for sponsor outreach and sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as GM, VP Operations, President, or CEO within a specialty trades platform, building products manufacturer, or fenestration operator.

• A minimum of fifteen years in construction-related operations with experience across multiple sites or product lines.

• Knowledge of channel dynamics involving builder direct, dealer, distributor, and big box for product platforms or understanding crew-level economics for trades platforms.

• Established network of relationships with founders, family owners, senior executives, and private equity professionals within your subsector.

• Ability to represent Fireclay in a professional manner to PE sponsors and management of target companies.

• Sensitivity when dealing with non-public information and competitive intelligence.

• Openness to working on a flexible, per-engagement basis without fixed hours or commitments.
