This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.
• Responsible for investigating and managing claims related to General Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Cyber, and Property coverage lines.
• Implements claims management philosophy and strategy to Corporate and Center personnel.
• Develops, sustains, and oversees relationships with claims adjusters and external legal counsel.
• Creates, evaluates, and presents claims data to influence risk management practices through performance metrics and benchmarking.
• Manages the claims staff effectively.
• Oversees the reporting of all claims to insurance carriers.
• Assists in the investigation and reporting of Workers Compensation claims.
• Manages claims within the Corporate or Center deductibles/retentions.
• Responsible for documenting claims in the RL6 Claims Management System and the in-house RMIS database, as well as generating reports from these systems.
• Advises and supports Corporate and Center Staff in conducting incident investigations.
• Establishes connections with defense attorneys and aids in discovery and investigation processes.
• Provides training on claims reporting procedures to Corporate and Center personnel.
• Prepares reports and analyses for the VP of Insurance/Corporate Risk Management.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of six (6) years of experience as a claims handler is required.
• Professional Liability and Workers Compensation experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial reporting systems.
• Competence in utilizing a web-based claims management system and generating reports.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals.
• Capable of writing effective business correspondence.
• Skilled in identifying and defining problems.
• Ability to interpret various types of instructions in multiple formats.
