This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Grow the current client base in the United Kingdom.
• Proactively seek and utilize potential new business opportunities within designated Customers/Accounts.
• Build and maintain robust, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at Accounts, gaining an in-depth understanding of the Customer/Account organization.
• Evaluate potential opportunities and create comprehensive business plans and sales strategies tailored for each Customer/Account.
• Recognize and address Customer/Account needs to identify possible PSI opportunities.
• Ensure the suitable strategy/solution is presented to the Customer/Account.
• Collaborate with Operations to identify the sales team and prepare presentations.
• Train team participants on Customer/Account culture, operational requirements/methods, and effective sales techniques to secure deals.
• Lead the complete sales process, including assembling the right team for pitches and delivering sales presentations.
• Work alongside the Proposal Development Group to create proposals and with Operations to finalize strategies and pricing.
• Manage follow-ups related to sales and assist in completing contractual documents.
• Ensure seamless transition to the project team by transferring insights on Customer/Account needs and expectations.
• Share strategies and sales plans for Customers/Accounts with Project Directors/Managers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers/Directors and Operations to promptly address any issues or concerns from Customers/Accounts.
• Seek guidance from Project Managers/Directors to proactively manage changes in scope, explore new opportunities, or resolve customer dissatisfaction.
• Partner with the Project Manager/Director and Operations to ensure Changes in Scope (CIS's) are effectively negotiated with the Customer/Account.
• Maintain a prominent presence within the Customer/Account organization.
• Track Customer satisfaction through regular formal and informal surveys.
• Work with Project Managers/Directors to ensure Customer/Account needs are met and resolve any concerns or issues promptly.
• Analyze proposals and evaluate requests for proposals and protocols.
• Attend industry events, arrange meetings during these events, and follow up with potential clients afterward.
• Serve as a liaison between UK clients and Operations as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in health sciences or a comparable mix of education, training, and experience.
• Proven expertise in sales or business development, preferably within a Contract Research Organization or a company serving the healthcare industry.
• 3 to 5 years of business development experience in the CRO sales sector.
• Functional proficiency with Salesforce.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
• Willingness and capability to travel as needed.
