This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Plays a pivotal role in assessing, prioritizing, and executing business development transactions across Sobi.
• Facilitates cross-functional projects and transactions within Business Development on both global and regional scales.
• Focuses on due diligence and alliance management while also offering project management support.
• Directly reports to the VP of Business Development and Alliance Management located in the USA, while supporting transaction strategies established by Sobi globally.
• Collaborates with the Strategy & Corporate Development team to organize due diligence activities.
• Takes the lead in global cross-functional due diligence processes for in-licensing, out-licensing, distribution, and M&A opportunities.
• Develops and maintains internal and external due diligence database activities for assigned projects.
• Assists in agenda creation, meeting management, and content support for the business development lead.
• Capable of negotiating with stakeholders at all levels internally, as well as with external resources and counterparts.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• An MBA or a related advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/medical industry and/or highly related experience in consulting, investment banking, or private equity investing.
• Expertise in due diligence, along with experience and knowledge of the processes involved.
• Proven negotiation experience.
• Experience in Alliance Management.
• Strong project management skills and a good understanding of essential project management tools.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet) is required.
