Director, BD Excellence, Innovation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Senior Director of BD Excellence Innovation and leaders in R&D to enhance and implement BD Excellence Innovation tools and processes on a global scale, integrating them into the product development workflow.

• Enhance the R&D capabilities of the business unit by bolstering core competencies that promote continuous improvement and foster a Kaizen culture.

• Advocate for data-driven decision-making across BD segments by providing coaching, training, and mentoring on best practices and methodologies.

• Engage with global stakeholders to identify their needs, evolve the BD Excellence Innovation ecosystem, and refine Obeya execution as requirements and trends shift.

• Establish and grow networks of Certified Practitioners (Obeya, Visual Project Management, Problem Solving) and disseminate the innovation toolbox throughout the organization via both digital and instructor-led training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• Over ten (10) years of experience in the MedTech industry specifically in R&D, Innovation, or Engineering, with a strong record of driving processes to deliver results.

• At least eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in an organization with a culture of continuous improvement, where core tools of visual management, problem-solving, and Kaizen are integral to all business operations.

• Significant experience with Lean methodologies.

• Exceptional analytical skills and a solid background in analysis.

• Proven ability to solve problems within cross-functional or matrixed organizations.

• Proficient in using tools within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure DevOps, Project, Planner, and Power BI.

• Capable of facilitating complex cross-functional meetings and initiatives to achieve and maintain desired outcomes.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
