Director, AI – Security Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Guide a fundamental cybersecurity capability by outlining the strategy, operational model, and service offerings for AI & Security Development.

• Propel the creation of AI-driven security agents to aid in detection, triage, investigation, and response.

• Develop and expand automation and orchestration capabilities across enterprise security technologies.

• Facilitate the integration of security data, analytics, and reporting to assist in operational and executive decision-making.

• Implement secure AI development practices and govern DevSecOps.

• Collaborate closely with Security Operations, Architecture, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).

• Build and manage a high-performing team.

• Convert technical capabilities into quantifiable business value and risk mitigation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or related technical fields, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership positions.

• Demonstrated experience in developing or enhancing automation, AI/ML, or advanced analytics capabilities.

• Robust background in secure software development, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and API-driven systems.

• Experience in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response processes.

• Capability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.

• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.

• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms or LLM-based systems is preferred.

• Understanding of AI risk management and governance frameworks is preferred.

• Experience in the financial services sector or other regulated environments is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud/AI certifications are preferred.
