This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop, manage, and consistently enhance the AI security function at IRC.
• Define, oversee, and continuously improve the AI security strategy and program roadmap at IRC.
• Create and sustain an organization-wide registry for AI agents.
• Formulate and disseminate secure-by-default standards, frameworks, and reference architectures for the development of internal AI agents.
• Establish and enforce AI security policies pertaining to agent development, deployment, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Communicate the AI security risk posture, program advancements, and emerging threats to the CISO and senior leadership.
• Coordinate and execute GIS security evaluations within the AI governance framework.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from AI Governance, Privacy, Legal, and Technology to facilitate the AI intake, assessment, and stage-gating process.
• Conduct security risk assessments and categorize AI platforms, agents, and use cases according to the approved risk-tiering model.
• Execute periodic reassessments of all active agents on an appropriately timed basis.
• Continuously monitor the changing AI threat landscape.
• Lead post-incident reassessments for any active agent implicated in a security incident.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
• An advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory if experience is exceptionally strong.
• Over 10 years of experience in information security.
• At least 4-5 years in a people management or senior security leadership position.
• Proven hands-on experience in securing AI/ML systems, LLM-based applications, or agentic AI workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and risk assessments for complex, distributed systems.
• Experience in building and leading security teams.
• A history of collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, legal, and compliance teams.
• Previous experience in incident response and managing security incidents involving automated or AI-driven systems is highly preferred.
